Learning Curve!!!!!

Are the School Systems failing our kids? Are our kids leaving school prepared for the world? Who do we blame for the educational gap between America and other countries like Asia and India?.....Parents?....Teachers?...Both?

  2. YES and NO. I say this because YES, the school system is failing our kids because there are teachers who are not giving their all to their students. Some are just passing by and the teachers don't want to take the time and energy needed to give to our students. Some are there just for a paycheck. I say NO, because it's not the teachers responsibility to be the only ones teaching out kids. It starts from home, it continues in school, and it needs to be followed through after school and on the weekends, when there's no school. Some parents these days are relying on the teachers to teach our kids and thry to hold them responsible for not learning. When you have parents who don't put their all into theie own kids, why should we look to others, especially teachers to raise out kids?

Yes, they are leaving school so very unprepared in this big world with no direction, no idea of where to go, what to do, and no knowledge of all the resources that are available to them. They are being passed through grade after grade not knowing anything and once out in the world, they are so lost. It's really sad that our children are suffering with the lack of education.

I blame both the parents and the teachers. Even though the "It takes a village to raise a child" theory isn't being used, both the parents and the teachers need to be more responsible for what our future will be like. Americans got it tooo easy, per se, but we don't know how to use what we have and take advantage of it. These kids are our future and if we don't get a handle on getting them educated properly, we got a rude awakening upon us.
